Use Android Packet Data on your Computer

People often want to use mobile data connection in computer and the easiest way to do so is to Enable Usb Tethering If you are having Android Smartphone!Tethering most often refers to using your smartphone as a mobile hotspot. To enable tethering you just have to follow these simple steps!


  • Install required drivers which can be found in the CD provided with mobile box or from the internet ( Use official mobile manufactures site or just try ADB drivers they work as well ) [ IF YOU ARE ON LINUX/UBUNTU , You don’t need to install extra drivers because most probably they’re built-in ]
  • Now connect your android using USB data cable! Make sure your Computer recognize your device!
  • Now Navigate to   Settings-> Wireless And Networks -> Tethering and Portable Hotspot  (Path may very as OS version/manufacturer changes)
  • Just Tap USB TETHERING and you are done!
  • This is something new you won’t find anywhere else In case you’re having some trouble with tethering try to Turn on the USB debugging Believe me it really works.

  • You will see new network adapter created which is connected to the internet!

If you don’t want to install drivers and if your computer have Wi-Fi adapter then you can simply use WiFi hotspot which shares mobile data connection wirelessly! To do so follow steps given below!

  • Navigate to   Settings-> Wireless And Networks -> Tethering and Portable Hotspot  (Again-Path may very as OS version changes)
  • Tap Mobile-AP and you are done! {see the screenshots above ↑ }
  • Change security settings,protect your AP with WPA2 security!
  • Now scan for wireless APs in your PC ,connect with appropriate AP and Access the internet!!

  1. All android powered phones are now enabled with wifi tehther after release of 2.2 aka Froyo..
    the question is that are you able to reverse tether because as we know broadband net is more preferable than the packet data…….

    1. Reversing the tether i.e. Broadband to Mobile ,using either USB cable or Bluetooth it’s not possible. Back days I’ve googled a lot for this types of tricks but it’s completely impossible. However if you have wi-fi adapter in your computer you can create an ad-hoc connection with mobile device and then use broadband internet on your phone.

  2. how to connect internet in xp? becoz when thretering on & all driver r install but it could not connect internet.. so which problem in my mobile/Xp/Driver….?????????
