Hi,
Many of you (including ME) have problem of slow browsing due to Slow internet. So waiting Sucks!!We are going to make your Internet surfing/browsing more faster with Firefox using some tweaks.Follow it…
STEP:1 Open Firefox
STEP:2 Go in address bar and type about:config
- click on I’ll be careful,I promise!
Then You will see something like this..

Now Edit These Values to the following number/value:
browser.tabs.showSingleWindowModePrefs – true
network.http.max-connections – 48
network.http.max-connections-per-server – 16
network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-proxy –8 (useful if you are behind proxy)
network.http.proxy.pipelining – true (useful if you are behind proxy)
network.http.pipelining – true
network.http.pipelining.maxrequests – 100
network.http.request.timeout – 300
STEP:3
- Right-click somewhere on that screen and add a NEW -> Integer.
- Name it “nglayout.initialpaint.delay” and set its value to “0”.
This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it receives. Since you’re broadband – it shouldn’t have to wait.
Its Done!!Now you should notice you’re loading pages MUCH faster now!
Actually by changing these values we change some basics for Firefox config so brows MORE faster just changing these values…
That’s the beauty of this program being open source.

Alot of these tweaks are the same myths that have been around since Firefox 2 or 3.
network.http.max-connections – users on slower connections may receive timeouts if they raise this too high
network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-proxy – this and the other proxy setting are useless unless you actually are behind a proxy.
network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server – this is lower than the actual default settings firefox 5 gives
network.http.proxy.pipelining – does nothing if you aren’t behind a proxy
network.http.request.timeout – this has been removed in previous versions of firefox as it is unused.
thanks Jay…we are still learning….
Proxy config is not myths because still many people uses proxy….
firefox 5 isn’t released yet…
and request timeout is also useful for slower connections……
THANKS FOR AWARENESS….
Firefox 5 was released June 21st. By going to Help/About Firefox it checks and should update it automatically.
ok…got it…
but still almost everybody doesn’t uses FIREFOX 5….
I think we’ve got a Firefox guy.
Welcome Jay
